# re: Microsoft CRM - Bulk Edit Made Easy

Hey Ryan

It's embarrassing for me that people don't find Bulk Edit - I certainly screwed up there.  I think it's a combination of bad naming ("Edit" doesn't immediately make one think of "bulk edit") and undiscoverability on the More Actions menu.  Definitely some lessons to learn there.  (It reminds me that in 1.x, many users didn't find the Actions menu at all, which certainly hampered the ability to use the product.)

Ironically, in-line edits was a feature we had in early builds on 3.0 and took out later.  It's actually a really tough thing to do well.  Maybe some other release...

It was great to see you at WPC,
Ilana.

Ilana,

Don't beat yourself up too bad - the feature is indeed part of 3.0 and works very well.  Now that we know it's there we are singing the praises to all of our customers (not to mention how much we use it internally).  :-)

Great to hear from you!

RE: Microsoft CRM's E-mail Subject-Line Tracking Token

Post: http://blogs.msdn.com/crm/archive/2006/09/18/761115.aspx

Ilana Smith of the Microsoft CRM Development Team discusses how email integration works with the CRM Token and what transpires if you decide to turn off this functionality.  This is very relevant information for companies who do not wish to include any addendums to the subject line of their email messages and/or are worried about overall email traffic in their exchange server environment when Microsoft CRM is installed.

Very exciting improvements.  Email-to-case is much-needed. Plug-ins for event pipeline are also nice.

Does it exists in the RTM Version? I cannot find it

Javier -

UNFORTUNATELY! You are correct - The feature got cut during release of the RTM code.  I have not received any justifications as to why it got cut but my guess is that they found data corruption issues during regression testing (speculation only).  A little birdie says that some blogs will be coming from Microsoft on how to still accomplish this feature even though the option does not appear when exporting to Excel.

This functionality is not available in RTM. However, there is a blog and Tool that gives you alternate approach. The blog details are:

# re: Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Has anyone got the new adapter patch to work with 4.0

The hot-fixed BizTalk Adapter for 3.0 authenticates just fine.

In attempting to “Add Generated Object” to a solution in visual studio,

choosing Add Adapter Metadata, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, specifying my send Port and logging in,

I am offered, as expected:

+ Microsoft Dynamics CRM Actions

+ Microsoft Dynamics CRM Entities

Upon expanding and selecting Actions, I obtain results.

However, upon expanding any Entity selection, I get a NOT FOUND error.

Any way to "bulk edit" the owner of prospects? The owner field is disabled on the bulk edit form....

Hmm...
