Once upon a time not so long ago we all lived by the HP 12C calculator, much like the Atari games of our youth new life has come to the HP 12c. On June 25th Hewlett-Packard (HP) announced the classic 12c, HP 12c Platinum and HP 15C will all be available as iPhone applications and available for download from iTunes. A 12C Lite version of the the financial calculator is on $1.99 consistent with many other iPhone apps low price.
Per a MacWorld posting "When run in landscape mode, each app uses the original ROM code and provides an exact visual replica of the actual horizontal-format calculator, making it familiar to users of the originals. The $15 HP 12c and $20 HP 12c Platinum provide the same business-focused functions and formulas as the hardware models, and the $30 HP 15c includes all of the original's scientific algorithms and calculation sequences, including matrix, root, and complex-number functions. All three apps are also, like their hardware counterparts, programmable."
