This past weekend I was able to sit in on some excellent presentations at Code Camp 2:
Scott Yokiel of RBA Consulting presented Extending Microsoft Office 2007. He covered how to customize the Office 12 Ribbon and some other Office Client customization options with Visual Studio. He also shared a few Visual Studio tips and tricks. Great job Scott!
Mike Hodnick of Inetium presented 3D Construction Basics in WPF. While the focus of Code Camp is code, Mike did a great job of laying out the basics of 3D development so we could keep up with his code samples. He took a very difficult concept and was able to relay it to us with terrific slides, solid demos, and his usual well-timed humor. Check out his resources post here.
Neil Iversen of Inetium presented an introduction to PowerShell. Neil has been playing with PowerShell for months and his passion for the "ugly shell" really came through in his presentation. Neil started with the basics and walked through not just the hows, but also the whys of PowerShell. He had some fantastic demos of using PowerShell and the SharePoint Object Model together to interrogate/automate SharePoint. If you've ever wanted to take a look at PowerShell but didn't know where to start, make sure you take a look at his presentation.
