Microsoft held a webcast today to cover Upgrading from Beta 2 TR to RTM which covered the following:
Office 2007 RTM bits are expected to be available on November 30th, though the product team is "hoping to beat that date".
Upgrade steps and documentation are going to be available before the bits are available, so keep an eye on the SharePoint Team Blog for more information.
Other tidbits (from the Q&A):
- Site collection backups will not be able to be restored from one version to another (ex. backup from Beta 2 TR and restore to RTM will not work)
- Many of the standard WSS themes have been updated since Beta 2 TR
- A recording of today's webcast on Upgrading from TR to RTM will be available on the SharePoint Team Blog soon.
- WSS will be available on downloads.microsoft.com at the time of RTM.
- New SDKs will be available at RTM - they are continuously upgrading this and expect another SDK release around the new year.
